The February 6 update for Marvel Rivals is here, bringing bug fixes for several heroes, map adjustments, and some general improvements. This patch won’t require server downtime, so you can jump back into the action as soon as it drops.
Here’s a breakdown of all the key changes, hero by hero and my summary for almost every change.
Loki – The Trickster’s Fixes

- Mystical Missiles Reload Fix – There was a rare issue where Loki’s Mystical Missiles wouldn’t refill after reloading in unstable network conditions. This has been fixed, so his arsenal is fully stocked no matter what.
- Transformation Bug Resolved – Sometimes, Loki’s Ultimate Ability transformation would end immediately after activation due to connection issues. That’s now patched, so he can stay in disguise as intended.
These fixes ensure that Loki’s abilities function as expected, making his playstyle more reliable.
Jeff the Land Shark – No More Spitting Mishaps

- Ultimate Ability Fix – If Jeff spit out enemies right before his Ultimate Ability ended, the animation would sometimes play twice, making it look weird. Now, it’s fixed, and his attack animations are much cleaner.
His frustrating nature remains intact, but now his frustration function more smoothly.
Bruce Banner – Fashion Fixes

- Revival Costume Bug Fixed – After being revived by Rocket Raccoon’s beacon, Banner’s costume would sometimes glitch out. That issue has now been resolved.
Now, Banner is back to looking sharp before he Hulks out.
Storm – No More Ultimate Chaos

- Ultimate Ability Positioning Fix – If Storm activated her Ultimate while passing through Doctor Strange’s portal, she could end up in unintended positions. That’s now patched.
- Recovery Rumble Bug Fix – If Storm was trapped by destructible structures while casting her Ultimate, the ability could end prematurely. Now, it works correctly, allowing her to fully unleash her power.
These fixes eliminate frustrating interruptions in Storm’s gameplay.
Venom – No More Swinging Mishaps

- Wild Swing Landing Fix – There was an issue where Venom’s Swing wouldn’t properly end, making movement clunky. That’s now resolved, so he’ll land cleanly every time.
- Devour Damage Bug Fixed – If Venom used Devour immediately after landing from Feast of the Abyss, it would sometimes fail to deal damage or knockback. Now, Venom’s hunger is fully satisfied.
These improvements make Venom feel much smoother in combat.
Magneto – Ultimate Now Works Properly Against Iron Man

- Iron Man’s Ultimate Absorption Fix – Previously, Iron Man’s Ultimate could still deal damage even after being absorbed by Magneto’s Ultimate Ability. That’s been patched—now, Magneto’s magnetic powers fully nullify Iron Man’s attack.
This ensures Magneto’s abilities work as intended.
Mister Fantastic – Reflexive Rubber Fixed

- Reflexive Rubber Fix – Sometimes, his Reflexive Rubber ability wouldn’t end properly, causing weird movement issues. That’s now patched.
His abilities should now feel more fluid and responsive.
Map & Gameplay Fixes

- Players Getting Stuck in Terrain – Several instances where players could get stuck in unique terrain areas have been fixed.
- Hydra Charteris Base: Frozen Airfield Door Sync Issue Fixed – Occasionally, some doors wouldn’t sync properly with gameplay. That’s now resolved, so movement through the base should feel more fluid.
These changes improve overall movement and eliminate frustrating glitches.
General Fixes & Adjustments
- Adjusted Age Rating Labels – Minor tweaks to in-game age ratings.
- Epic Launcher Inactivity Bug Fixed – If the Epic Launcher restarted after 5 minutes of inactivity, it could trigger random anti-cheat notifications. That’s now resolved.
While small, these fixes improve overall stability.
My Experience & What I Want Next

This update fixed a lot of small but important issues, making gameplay more polished. However, I still want more improvements, especially in these areas:
- Character-Based Ranked System – I am so sick of being forced into Tank or Support roles in ranked. Give me the option to queue for my preferred role.
- More Skins for Hawkeye – If a game has bows and arrows, I’m playing it. We need cooler skins for Hawkeye—something futuristic, medieval, or even elemental-themed would be great.
- Better CPU Optimization – The game still feels CPU-heavy, even though my GPU can handle much more FPS. I hope they focus on CPU optimization in a future update.
New Costumes
Luna Snow – Mirae 2099

Luna Snow is getting a futuristic makeover with the Mirae 2099 costume. This sleek and stylish look will be available as a limited-time store release starting on February 7, 2025 (UTC+0). If you’re a fan of Luna Snow’s icy aesthetics, this is definitely one to grab before it’s gone!
Captain America – Avengers: Infinity War

For those who loved Captain America’s rugged, battle-worn look from Avengers: Infinity War, this new costume brings that iconic design into the game. The Infinity War outfit will also be a limited-time store release on February 7, 2025 (UTC+0). This one’s perfect for players who want a more grounded and tactical Cap.
Final Thoughts
This patch brings solid fixes, but I’m still looking forward to more updates that refine the experience further. The hero bug fixes, map adjustments, and general tweaks are all welcome, but I hope the next update brings more gameplay changes, better optimization, and exciting new content.
